Sinus Lynge EFFEKT Sinus Lynge is an architect, urban planner and one of the two founding partners at EFFEKT. Since EFFEKt was founded in 2007, Sinus has lead more than hundred national and international projects within urban planning, architecture, urban spaces and innovative, sustainable strategies and concepts for future living. All projects centered around social coherence and vibrant city life, as well as intelligent solutions to energy consumption and sustainability.
Having developed an expertise through a broad range of projects, Sinus excels in the management of interdisciplinary teams combinig research and design solutions. Sinus represents an empathic and responsive approach to architecture combining thorough analysis with playful design thinking. This is exemplified through a number of award-winning projects within architecture, urbanism and research.
Sinus has acted as a professional and creative driving force behind several of EFFEKT’s successful, international projects. Most recently the visionary concept for Urban Villages Project – a new visionary model for developing sustainable, affordable and livable homes for the many people living in cities around the world.
As well as the concept for ReGen Villages, a new visionary model for the development of off-grid, integrated and resilient eco-villages that can power and feed self-reliant families around the world. The project was first presented at La Biennale di Venezia in 2016 and and achieved great international recognition. Sinus Lynge has furtermore been the professional driving force behind EFFEKT’s many winning masterplans.
During the fall semester 2019, Sinus Lynge taught a studio on sustainable design at the University of Washington – Department of Architecture for the ScanDesign Foundation’s Distinguished Visiting Professorship 2019 program. As a partner at EFFEKT, Sinus has received Nykredits Motivation Award for EFFEKT’s focus on social inclusion in urban planning and architecture
